Name: Google Optimization
SKU: GoogleOptimization Description: Assessment to current website to maximize its effectiveness with Google. Accessibility testing, spell check and web standards compliance testing. The way the keywording system works, is when those phrase is found in the page it is added to the list of keywords for that page, so if the terms you have added are not in a page then it is not added to the keyword for any pages (keywords have to appear in the text to be included as a page keyword). Generally, we try and target around 15-20 keywords, word and phrases that we think people will be using to find what we offer. Meta Keywords used to be very important in search engine ranking, but because of people abusing the system, it is now one of the smaller factors for the page ranking now for most search engines. The reason we include the keyword admin seciton is as part of the process of helping focus the site. The keywords should generally be the names of key pages on your site, or industry terms, that have been named/included in content to help target specific search phrases -- things you are the expert on. We offer a google optimization package that includes finding all the search terms that have been used to find your site so far, a review of page names and linking between them, creation of site map to help the site get indexed better (along with review of what is currently being indexed), and working with you to improve the targeting of key terms. Google uses an evolutionary improvement system for its search results, so the results of this work take some time to take effect. Six months after the initial assessment we usually do a second assessment to see how our changes have affected our rankings on the keywords. Most of our clients get the additional assessments done either every six months or once a year there after. The additional assessments are $500. This process really helps to maximize the return on your website investment. Hours to implement the recommended changes billed in addition to the assessment. |
